The film featuring John Abraham, Anil Kapoor, Kangna Ranaut, Sonu Sood, Manoj Bajpai, Tusshar Kapoor, Ronit Roy and Mahesh Manjrekar, and Bollywood hot actress Priyanka Chopra will be appearing in an item number - mujra song, and also as cameo appearance.
The film directed, produced & screenplay by Sanjay Gupta with screenplay writers Abhijeet Deshpande and Sanjay Bhatia, with film producers Ekta Kapoor, Shobha Kapoor and Anuradha Gupta, releasing theatrically by Balaji Motion Pictures and White Feather Films.
Shootout at Lokhandwala film based on the book 'Dongri to Dubai' by Hussain Zaidi, which follow story of the first encounter in Indian Police by Mumbai police on November 1st, 1982, where first Hindu gangster Manya Surve was encounter at Vidyalankar Institute of Technology, Sangam Nagar, Wadala, Mumbai.
The film originally set to be released in theaters on January 18th, 2013 but it's changed to on May 1st, 2013.
