Barfi! presents by UTV Motion Pictures in association with ishana movies, directed and written by Anurag Basu, produced by Ronnie Screwvala and Siddharth Roy Kapoor. The title was changed of this film from 'Khamoshi' and 'Silence' title.  The trailer released on 2 July, 2012; showing comedy scene and some action with comedy, having no any dialogues by any three leading stars, only a musical trailer.
The Barfi is a romantic comedy film of stars Ranbir Kapoor play role as deaf-mute person, Priyanka Chopra play role of a mentally challenged girls and Ileana D'Cruz play role of the narrator; in lead roles.
The story about this film is " Barfi! is the story of three young peoples who learn that love can neither be defined nor contained by society's norms of normal and abnormal. Ranbir Kapoor's parents gives him Murphy name, but everyone not says Murphy they calls Barfi!. He have sweet relationship with two beautiful young ladies Jhilmil (Priyanka Chopra) and Shruti (Ileana D'cruz). Bhurfi is a hearing and speech impaired boy he first time fall in love with Shruti, she marry a normal man by pressuring her parents and lead a normal life. After some time Shruti's realization that Jhilmil is mentallly-challenged makes her recongnize that true love is really blind. But Shruti realizes that she is still love with him. They finds happiness in his life in the every
smallest things. 'Don't Worry. Be Barfi!'

The film scheduled to release in India on 14 September, 2012.
