Lawleshh is an upcoming crime based drama film which is directed by Johan Hillcoat and written by Nick Cave. The film based on the novel 'The Wettest County in the World' written by Matt Bondurant. The film starring with Tom Hardy, Jessica Chastain, Shia LaBeouf and Gary Oldman. The film has been selected for the Palme d'Or at the Cannes Film Festival 2012.
The story of this film accourding it's official site "LAWLESS is the true story of the infamous Bondurant Brothers: bootlegging siblings who made a run for the American Dream in Prohibition-era Virginia. In this epic outlaw tale, inspired by true-life tales of author Matt Bondurant’s family in his novel “The Wettest County In The World”, the loyalty of three brothers is put to the test against the backdrop of the nation’s most notorious crime wave." The film have been released in cannes on 19 May, 2012 and the film hits in theaters on 31 August, 2012.
